FIBER OPTIC INTRUSION DETECTION SYSTEM
The Outpost-ZB perimeter intrusion detection system enables erecting local and continuous security boundaries of sites and facilities with the help of fences of different types and there is no requirement for the power in the field.

Technology

A fiber optic cable is arranged on a fence or canopy. The cable converts local deformations of cable occurring in process of mechanical vibrations of fence into changing of characteristics of laser irradi- ation passing through the cable. The changes are registered and processed by the optical signal processing module (OSPM). The algorithm of the module generates an event that is delivered to the command & control system (C2) and next to the operator's workstation.

Impact the fence changes the phase of the reflected signal in the place where said impact took place.
The linear part is arranged on the perimeter:
– fiber-optical cable as a sensitive element;
– security end probes to arrange control of gates/wickets; – – patching facilities.



The station part is arranged in the server room:
– optical signal processing module; secondary processing server;
– command & control system;
– operators' workstations.

Outpost-ZB detects events of the following types
1
Bypassing the fence by climbing over with or without the use special means (ladder, lean on board etc);
2
Bypassing the fence by the mechanical destruction of its pieces and breaking though it (breach, cutting, sawing);
3
Bypassing the fence by bending the fence sheets/wire;
4
Bypassing the fence by crawling under it or by digging up to 0.7 m beneath the fence;
5
Unauthorised opening of the wicket gate/gate;
6
Holding the wicket gate/gate in the open position for a long time.
